AQUACEL Ag+ EXTRA dressing is a soft, sterile, non-woven pad dressing designed to manage moderate to highly exuding wounds that are infected or at risk of infection. This highly absorbent and conformable dressing absorbs wound fluid to create a soft gel, maintaining a moist wound environment while the ionic silver provides sustained antimicrobial activity to kill a broad spectrum of bacteria and disrupt biofilm.

How To Use
- Before applying the dressing, cleanse the wound area with an appropriate wound cleanser and dry the surrounding skin.
- Choose a dressing size and shape to ensure that the central absorbent pad is at least 1 cm larger than the wound area.
- Remove the dressing from the sterile pack, minimizing finger contact with the wound contact surface.
- Apply the dressing to the wound and cover with a moisture-retentive secondary dressing.
- The dressing may be left in place for up to 7 days, depending on the amount of exudate. It should be changed when clinically indicated (e.g., leakage, bleeding, increased pain).
Warnings
This dressing should not be used on individuals who are sensitive to or who have had an allergic reaction to the dressing or its components. Not compatible with oil-based products like petrolatum. For external use only. Sterility is guaranteed unless package is damaged or opened prior to use. Single use only. Do not re-use.
