Mepitel is a gentle, two-sided wound contact layer featuring Safetac technology, the original less-pain silicone adhesive layer. It is designed to conform softly to the skin without sticking to the moist wound bed, allowing for easy removal that minimises pain and trauma to the skin. By sealing the wound margins, it protects the surrounding skin from leakage and maceration, while its transparent design allows for simple wound inspection. Mepitel supports undisturbed, natural healing by protecting new tissue and intact skin.

How To Use
Cleanse the wound area according to standard clinical procedures and dry the surrounding skin thoroughly.
Choose a dressing size that overlaps the wound margin by at least 2 cm. Cut the dressing to size if necessary.
Grip both overlapping release films and carefully remove them.
Apply the adherent side of Mepitel to the wound. Do not stretch.
Smooth the dressing in place onto the surrounding skin to ensure a good seal.
Apply a secondary absorbent dressing over the Mepitel.
Secure the dressings with a suitable fixation tape or bandage.

10 individually sterile packed Mepitel Wound Contact Layer dressings, 7.5cm x 10cm.
Warnings
Do not use with oxidising agents such as hypochlorite solutions or hydrogen peroxide. When used on burns treated with meshed grafts or after facial resurfacing, imprints can occur if the product is not used properly.
